Research

As profoundly social beings, relationships are critical to the health and wellbeing of all humans. Indeed, relationships are fundamental to the human experience.

As relationship scholars, we believe that human behaviour is best understood in the relational context(s) in which it occurs and that understanding relationships is essential to understanding how people think, feel, and act. We are passionate about the field of relationship science and strive with our research to advance our understanding of important relationship processes and phenomena.

Our research focuses primarily on the darker side of relationships and the things that can go wrong between partners of various kinds.

We are currently conducting a study exploring the effects of celiac disease on romantic relationships in emerging adults. Click here for more information.
