Personal Relationships

Dr. Careen Khoury, recent graduate of York University, began a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Calgary in September, 2014.

She is interested in how individuals think, feel, and behave following transgressions. In her past research, she has investigated the role of apology, Right Wing Authoritarianism, and group membership on the forgiveness process. More recently, she has been examining the role of social power on individuals’ social motive to forgive, seek revenge against, or hold a grudge against, transgressors following an offence. Currently, she is interested in investigating individuals’ post-transgression responses in the context of marital and romantic relationships.
